Coach Rob has been working with athletes for the last decade in a variety of sports, but has found his passion in tumbling. Over the last 10 years he has worked with our future tumblers of the world as young as 2 all the way up to the advanced National Champions who continue their tumbling and cheerleading career through college.
Coach Rob has a degree in Physical Education and Health Education. He has experience teaching in schools from Pre-school through High School. On top of teaching he has been an Athletic Director, a Tumbling Director, and a Red Cross Instructor. He has his certification in USAG (United States Gymnastics Safety) and USASF levels 1-5 as well as being trained in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
There is something mysterious about flipping that draws everybody to admire and appreciate the talent. In the multiple schools Rob has worked in, the students were constantly flipping at recess and in the gym. If tumbling is a natural desire for many children, it is important for them to have a fun place to learn how to do it safely and correctly. This is how X Factor came to be. Coach Rob understands that you don't only have to be physically strong to tumble, but you have to learn both confidence and trust in yourself and your coach to obtain new skills.
Coach Igor has dedicated most of his life to the performing arts as a choreographer, coach, and an artist of ballet, tap, national folk dance, and gymnastics. He has received his degree from the National Academic Dance Studio of the Ukraine as a performing ballet artist, and a masters degree in Sport Education. Coach Igor was invited to coach at the Ukrainian Olympic Preparatory Academy in 1984. For multiple years, he coached and choreographed the Hungarian women's national acrobatics team. In 1991, he became the head gymnastics and acrobatics coach at the Club Central Army of the Ukraine. In 1991, he also held the position of head coach with the Ukrainian National Acrobatics team. After moving to the USA, he helped build multiple ballet and gymnastics programs in the NY/NJ area. Over the years, Coach Igor's athletes have won multiple titles in the USSR, the European and World acrobatics championships. Some pupils have gone on to take positions in shows like Champions on Ice, Cirque du Soleil, and more. Coach Igor loves nothing more then to see his students succeed and see the "ah-ha" moments when they finally overcome something they thought they never could have done.
Coach Brittany was introduced to coaching competitive cheerleading in 2005, and made captain of her high school varsity cheerleading team in 2008. In 2009, Brittany continued coaching cheerleading and gymnastics while competing on an International Open level 5 team. Coach Brittany has competed at numerous national competitions, including the cheerleading Worlds, and placed top 5 at the U.C.A Nationals. Coach Brittany is certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED, and is certified in the fundamentals of gymnastics through USAG. Her favorite thing about coaching is meeting young athletes who share the same passion for tumbling and cheer, and passing on to them all that she has learned throughout the years.
Coach Jim coached at Indian Hills high school for over 20 years where they won numerous league, state and national championships. He coached all levels of cheer and tumbling skills to athletes of all ages in the all star and high school divisions. He is known for his creative choreography, visual transitions, and crowd pleasing stunts. Coach Jim has 15+ years judging USASF, NFHS, NJCDCA, and Varsity All Star competitions. By day he is a elementary/middle school teacher and is currently specializing in middle school mathematics. Coach Jim's favorite thing about coaching is seeing how excited athletes get when they gain a new skill, and the smiles on their faces light up his day.
Coach Gabby has been a cheerleader for 12 years, and has competed for 5 years with a local town program as well as her high school. During her senior year of high school she has been named Captain, and lead her team to a successful season. She is currently studying to become an Elementary/Special Education Teacher. Coach Gabby loves working with kids and is striving towards a career as a teacher. Coach Gabby's favorite thing about coaching is getting to meet great kids and helping them achieve new skills.
Jr. Coach Gianna has been dancing for 13 years and cheering for 7 years. She is the director of the club Interact, which is a club based around community service and giving back to the people in her local community. After Coach Gianna's high school career, she wants to pursue a degree in either dermatology or the education field. Her favorite thing about coaching is helping the athletes learn and watching the excitement on their faces when they learn a new skill.
Coach Sarina has cheered for 12 years, 10 of which were on competition teams. She has won 9 first place national titles, placed 1st in a national tumble off, and placed 1st in a national stunt group competition. Her freshman year of high school she won a league title. At he end of her freshman year, Coach Sarina was selected to the All League First Team in the Big North Conference. Coach Sarina hopes to continue her cheerleading career in college as well as pursue a career in law. Continuing with the aspect of education, she is part of the National Honor Society and fills the role of an officer in her school's student council. What she loves most about being a coach is being able to teach and apply what her coaches have taught her over the years to young athletes. Coach Sarina wants to instill them with the same lessons and techniques that have been taught to her over the years, both in and out of the gym. X Factor has been a big part of Sarina’s life and has been a place where she has achieved many of her goals. Being a junior coach at the place that feels like a second home to her brings her joy and happiness!
